Cubasis General Midi Defaulting

When I create a song using soundfonts and decided to play it back a second time, all the sounds default to my general midi samples and not my soundfonts!!. All tracks and channels display the correct settings/soundfonts but I have to keep on reselecting them to get them to work. Help!!! cheers.

Hello, since you probably arrived here via a search engine, it perhaps wasn't obvious that this is a forum for users of NoteWorthy Composer. However, I can sympathise with your difficulty, having used Cubasis quite heavily before discovering NWC.

The Cubase programs use their own way of selecting and hanging onto midi devices. Presumably this was done to get around the ludicrous restriction placed on midi devices by Windows. The bad news is that it's difficult to get Cubase to cooperate with other applications running at the same time.

My best suggestion would be to visit the Steinberg site, where they have links to several forums and other user-support resources. Good luck!
