driver search

Does anybody out there know where I can download a driver for a "quickshot midi composer" midi keyboard. I'm stuck. All the driver archives direct me back to the quickshot homepage which is about as much use as a rotting mouse. I would be grateful if anyone knows that the would contact me. Cheers people.

We used to use one of these keyboards. I don't recall any driver being required for its use, but it is obviously best to check directly with the manufacturer.

Whatever drivers are supplied with your soundcard should include an "external midi" driver, which is whatever you plug into the midi/joystick connector.

You might want to search the forum for references to "external midi" for some tips on how to troubleshoot your difficulty.

As relates to NoteWorthy Composer, if you go to Tools | Options | Record, you'll see a pull-down box where you can select the midi input device. There should be one that says "External midi in" or "MPU-401 in" or some variant thereof; this will be the joystick connector-based midi input.

Regards,
Fred
