Document Exchange Format 2000-05-31 04:00 am A few years ago a format was proposed that would allow different formatting programs to exchange documents. It fell by the wayside becuase the big guns like Coda weren't interested. Can anyone remember the name of that format and where I can find out any information about it?-Nigel Quote Selected
Re: Document Exchange Format Reply #1 – 2000-05-31 04:00 am I believe you're thinking of NIFF, "notation interchange file format" and you're right, it doesn't seem to have caught on. My attention has been directly lately at ABC, which is a text-based (and therefore editable) notation format which shows promise, and is more of a grass-roots thing rather than a proprietary format being pushed by the big guns.Does anyone have any direct experience using ABC?
