how do i make trills and things without having to hide staffs and make a lot of 32nd notes?

You can also use MPCs for trills. Play with the "pitch bend" controller, using "absolute" as style, "32nd" as Time resolution, 1 as sweep res;
then you can use 4 values to 4 notes.
duplicate (do not redo, but copy/paste) as much as needed.
don't forget to finish with 0 as value for pitch.
8191 is plus one tone (2 semitones)
-8191 is minus 2 semitones

Note: I used this to make trills more realistic on flute (where they are often not perfect tuned), by using less correct values for pitch.
2nd note: it's less readable (some months later) than hidden staff...
