How often do updates for NWC usually come out?

The time periods between updates are not regular, or predictable.
I think they are overdue for a new version, but maybe I'm just impatient...

The would be version 1.75b which came out sometime late last year.

hi there, may i know is mpu-401 a driver or a soundcard? *confused* and also is it come with midi enable? NEED TO KNOW UGENTLY ..thx for your kind help!

My suspicion, based on something I noticed in this forum about 7 days ago, is that the next release is fairly immanent and will be version 2.0.

The next version probably won't be 2.0.
It'll be 1.8, or 1.81, or something like that.
Or maybe even 1.79.
This guy from the future (Marcel, was it?) said that 2.0 came out in 2007.
We'll see...

I don't know where, but I'm sure I've read that NWC is not going to be updated any more.
I wish I was wrong, but anyway, the last version is a very good piece of software isnt't it?

I hope that Reply 8 isn’t an attempt, or the result of an attempt, to spread a rumour.
Like “I heard someone say; I can’t remember who……”
We really have no indication that development has come to an end. If nothing else, the regular participation of Noteworthy Software on this forum suggests the opposite.

Yes the latest version is, “a very good piece of software”, as have been quite a few versions before it. It is also very inexpensive.

Historically, there was also a version of NWC suited for 16-bit (Windows 3.1) machines. I'm sure that version reached its development limit! That may be what you heard.

What might have confused you was a discussion on this forum about another piece of software that seems not to be under active development any more.
Personally, I take the lack of recent updates to mean that the next one will be a big one. Here's hoping!

Let's hope the next version addresses notation fundamentals like:
An extended set of articulation marks.
Multi-measure rests.
Rehearsal marks.
Mapped drum notation.

Robin, you're right. I've been doing a few browsing, and I've found there was a program called "Noteworthy 2", now withdrawn and replaced by "Music Publisher".
It seems to be by far worse than "our" NWC.

But anyway... I'm looking forward for a new release of NWC (with tuplets, please)

I'm still running the 16-bit version on Windows 3.1. As I recall, the last upgrade included a 16-bit version. Why not?
