Bar lines on 32 notes

When entering an eighth note folowed by a thirty second note followed by a sixteenth note and adding a bar line to link them the top two bar lines on the thirty second note point to the left instead of the right. Is this a problem? Thanks, Tom

Maybe a better way to look at the problem is that the flag direction is determined by the note value and its place in the beamed group. Try other combinations. Note that no flags point to the left on the leftmost note or point to the right on the rightmost note in a group of beamed notes. Note also that each note will have its proper number of flags depending on its value. If all flags were pointing to the right (as if not beamed) you could not determine the note value of the inside notes because the flags would run together.

Maybe there is someone out there that will submit a clearer and different explanation.

Note flags will always point to the inside of a group of beamed notes regardless of the note combinations. I don't see a problem unless someone else points out some technical reason that it should be otherwise. It would look strange to have a flag on either end of the beamed notes pointing away from the center of the beamed notes.
