Looking for certain sound help? 1999-04-15 04:00 am Hi all, I have the 1.55a version and I need to fill a guitar part with something that sounds like completely muted strings. The desired effect is a g chord play as in TAB 3 muted open open. Thats 3rd fret 6th sting, muted 5th string, open 4th string, and open 3rd string. I hope that is enough imformation. Re: Looking for certain sound help? Reply #1 – 1999-04-16 04:00 am Try using the nylon-string guitar sound, and make the notes very short (1/32 or even 1/64). You'll probably need to use multiple staves to combine the muted strings with the fretted ones.There _is_ a "muted guitar" sound defined in General Midi, but on my DB50XG card, at least, it's pretty much useless...
