How to Beam both Melody and Alto notes ?

How to "Beam" both Melody and Alto (OR Tenor & Bass) notes ?
( I'm using NWC evaluation ver 1.55a on Win 95 )

In Detail :
===========

( You may need to view the diagrams below with a constant width font. One simple way is to copy & paste the text into Notepad )

Consider the following score..

--------|\--
|\ |
---|---O----
O
------------
O
-|-----O----
|/ |
------|/----

When I select these notes and try to "Beam" (using the button OR pressing Ctrl+B), NWC beams either the higher notes OR the lower notes, depending on Stem UP/DOWN whichever is set.
(as given below : only higher notes are beamed)
/|
----/-|-----
| |
---|-O------
O
------------
O
-|---O------
|/ |
----|/-------

Is it possible to make both the sets Beam (as given below) ?

/|
----/-|-----
| |
---|-O------
O
------------
O
-|---O------
| |
--\-|-------
\|

I am sorry the diagrams were very bad even in NotePad.
Try the following Text in NotePad

Consider the following score..

--------|\--
---|\---|---
---|---O----
---O--------
------------
----O-------
---|---O----
---|/-|-----
------|/----

When I select these notes and try to "Beam" (using the button OR pressing Ctrl+B), NWC beams either the higher notes OR the lower notes, depending on Stem UP/DOWN whichever is set.
(as given below : only higher notes are beamed)
-----/|-----
----/-|-----
---|--|-----
---|-O------
--O---------
------------
--O---------
-|---O------
-|/-|-------
----|/------

Is it possible to make both the sets Beam (as given below) ?

Yes. Use staff layering. You have to enable staff layering in the Page Setup dialog, Contents tab, and in the Staff Properties (F2) of the top staff.
