If it's the latter, you should probably check the channel assignment of your trumpet staff. Channel 10 is reserved for percussion in the General MIDI specification, so if your trumpet staff is assigned to this channel, you should change it. (Highlight the staff in question, press F2, select the Midi tab and change the value in the "Channel" box.) Quote Selected
