Connecting NWC to Motif XF8

Hi! Sorry if this isn't posted in the right category or whatever but this is my first time posting here.

Anyway, I've been having trouble hooking up my Yamaha Motif XF8 to the newest version of NoteWorthy Composer installed on my Windows 7 computer. I have done the steps listed here on the FAQ #52 on NoteWorthySoftware.com and despite all that I still cannot make the connection. If you have had any experience with this or similar situations, please give me some advice.
