.mid note import resolution

I've never really posted on this forum before, so here goes.

I've just wondered, is there a way to increase rest resolution in the midi import section? I use complicated .mid files, and NWC can't seem to handle them. It repeats notes, slows them down, speeds them up, skips them, etc.... It'd be really helpful if someone could help. (Maybe a user tool?)
