colored music education tools

AGEHR recently held a handbell conference in Topeka, Kansas. There was a presentation given about colored music to make it easy for people to play bell music. I write my own music with colored note heads using Noteworthy. It turns out that Rainbow Bell Music sells colored velcro straps so you can put color on regular handbell handles. Now I'm not so restricted in my note ranges for my younger students and I don't have to spend over $150 for a bigger set of colored bells. Just thought I'd share in case any of the rest of you composers wanted a wider note range for your music but didn't want to spend any more money on toy bells.

How do you do this?

I also write music for the bell choir I direct using Noteworthy (1.75c).

I would like to color notes or otherwise mark them for the ringers who do not read music, which is most of them.

Thanks,
Tim
