CC changes

Forgive me if there already is a thread with this subject, but I couldn't find any answers using the search tool.

CC controls. I found in the HELP that each control in an Multi-Point Controller corresponds to the following CC numbers:

NameController #
Volume  7
Stereo Pan  10
Breath Control  2
Modulation Wheel  1
Foot Controller  4
Portamento Time  5
Data Entry MSB  6
Balance  8
Expression  11
Effect Controller 1  12
Effect Controller 2  13
Effects (Reverb) Depth  91
Tremolo Depth  92
Chorus Depth  93
Celeste Detune Depth  94
Phaser Depth  95
This is all very useful information, however...
what I'd like to know is whether there's any way of changing these CC patch numbers.
For instance: I use a fairly standard synthesizer that patches filter 1 Cutoff to CC# 74, and I'd like to tweak that automatically using an MPC. However, I find that none of the MPC controllers' numbers are 74.
So...is there any way of adjusting any of the above MPC control's CC number?

No.

You can use MIDI-OX/Yoke Data Mapping. Percussion sheet music that plays properly shows how keys are remapped. Controllers can also be remapped.

This method will not change the MIDI file that NWC2 produces.
To do that you would need to Run the MIDI file though a filter. Something like:
   C:> mf2t test.mid | myfilter | t2mf > test1.mid

IMO, NWC2 would be improved if it would allow (and observe) an edit of:
Quote
|MPC|Controller:tempo|Style:Absolute|TimeRes:Quarter|SweepRes:1|Pt1:0,120|Pos:7
into something like:
Quote
|MPC|Controller:74|Style:Absolute|TimeRes:Quarter|SweepRes:1|Pt1:0,120|Pos:7
but, alas it will not.

Thanks for the info, Rick. I'll see into getting my hands on these MIDI-OX/Yoke apps. They do seem like useful tools. It do think, however, that it is a pitty that it can't be done within NWC2.

I must agree with you, the MPC in NWC could be drastically improved by being able to select each CC channel individually. Maybe this could be taken into account in developing NWC3 (if there are plans for it)? Maybe even being able to give each CC# number a custom name?
