opening zipped NWC files

How do you extract NWC files from a Zip file to NWC installed on my computer? That is, how can I play my WinZip files/songs? I keep getting the error message: Severe Error When testing/extracting WinZip was unable to read file #1 in the Zip file.

Are these zip files on floppies? If so, see previous message. If not, does your installation of WinZip properly open other zip files? If yes, then the files containing the nwc archive is corrupt; if no, then re-install WinZip.

If:

1) Your ZIP file contains valid NWC files
2) The NWC files have the *.nwc extension
3) You are using the latest version of NWC

Then you can simply drag an NWC file out of WinZip and drop it onto NoteWorthy Composer. If this fails, then one of the above statements are not, in fact, true.

Quick add-on comment if one or more of the files are corrupted.

If Winzip lists several files, try just selecting one of the other files to see if it will extract.

If the entire file is corrupted, there used to be a utility called pkzipfix.exe. Probably somewhere on the Web. However, it seemed to be able to fix a lot of corrupt files.
