Floating lyrics

In commercial music, a syllable of the lyrics is ideally
centered under the note. The advantage of this is that even
a very long syllable need not expand the whole line if it
is preceded and followed by shorter syllables. (And the
shorter syllables would be offset to left or right to make
a little more room.)

Cakewalk appears to center lyrics, although I don't know if
it compresses where needed, or if it shifts to improve
compression (I doubt the latter.) But overall, your
interface and presentation both look better; and I
__really__ like your evaluation demo approach....

I think I can tell what you are doing: left-aligning all the
sync-ed entities, and I know this approach would be harder.
But is it possible for consideration?

At the home page, click on Noteworthy, then at the left side of the page where you'll see "wish list.' That's where you have to enter the requests.

Stephen,
One thing you can do to gain space is to use a more compressed font. This will save space for sure.
About centering, I think this could be an option --I'll make a wish unless you did yourself (please let me know)-- but I have to say that lyrics are now correctly left-aligned. This was not the case in 1.3x versions and earlier when one note has (or hasn't) an alteration (#, b or natural).
But if you want to make high-quality scores, doing whatever you want with lyrics placement, every musical symbol and so on, NWC is not for you. YET. Just a matter of time... I know it since the 1.10 and it drastically changed since then ! Thanx to the shareware concept and the efficiency of Eric.

Good evaluation,
MAD (happy reg'd user)
