G'day Plz...,
If you are looking for a "step by step" here is a brief one:
- Open NWC
- Click | File | Open
- In the bottom field ("Files of type:" list box) of the "Open dialogue" select either "Song Files" OR "Midi Files"
- Browse to the location of your midi, select and open it
- Click the "Next" button
- Click the "Next" button again - we can accept the defaults for now.
- Click the "Next" button yet again - we can accept these defaults for now too.
- And click "Next" again...
- At last we can click "Finish"
What we end up with is an imported midi that may or may not need "tweaking". Most likely it will need some work to make it "user friendly" - actually, the better the midi sounds, the more likely the import will be very complex.
Another point you should know - when you play back the song in NWC it will NOT sound as good as the original midi. There is a lot of subtle information lost during the import, particularly dynamics, pitch bends etc.. Basically anything that needs to use an MPC in NWC will not import, nor will dynamic variances.
