Grace notes

Is there any difference in length between a grace note, say, sixteenth note and a whole note?  Or are they all a fixed length?

Has anyone figured out how to put slashes across grace notes?

Sorry, I found that thread. My other question is: under a long slur, is there ANY way to insert a small slur connecting the grace note and the principal one which follows?

Use two tied grace notes. Make the second one invisible.
