Triplets help

What does "triplet selected notes" do?

It turns 3 of any value of note (such as 3 eight note or 2 eighth notes and 2 sixteenth notes) into two of that value. so basicaly 3 tripleted quarter notes equals a half note or 6 tripleted quarter notes eqals a whole note etc...
