In one of the messages, the reply said you can change an FM sound card to a Wave Table. How can you do that? I have a Creative Labs card.

If you have a Live card then you already have a wavetable card.
Load a good soundfont into Synth A: and address that as your output device rather than the FM synth.

Do you have a handbook or help file that came with the card?
I only have an AWE32 card but I know how to load a soundfont into the Live.

On the next page select Soundfonts How To...

Read it - understand it - and follow the links on the bottom of each page.
While you're there - browse around the site - there is a lot of info on the Live and Audigy cards there.

Browse the site.
You will find full GM soundfont sets under Collections
