MIDI Channels

1:
In NWC/2 you can only get 16 channels correct? I saw, on a website, some hardware (rather expensive to) that lets you have 32 channels. ( http://www.classicalmidiconnection.com/cmc/2port.htm )
I've downloaded a quite brilliant program in SynthFont ( http://www.synthfont.com ) Which lets you put sound fonts into a MIDI with out needing a special sound card etc. etc. but the good thing is, it lets you use 31 channels. Is it possible to have noteworthy use this many channels? Or is there a way around it?

2:
Whenever a use "Effects (Reverb) Depth" Nothing happens, I am after a reverberation effect. Why does it not work? Of am I using the wrong effect?

No. You can select as many MIDI devices as you have on your system from Tools, Options, Midi.

This depends on your hardware/synthesizer. You might have to configure reverb on the synth before this will work, or your synth might not support it at all.

I used to think you can get only 16 channels, but I added a flute line to a pre-existing jazz band score that already had all channels being used, and the channel that NWC selected for the flute line was one that was already being used by a trumpet.
Just for fun, I wanted to hear what it sounded like.
Lo and behold!  Each sounded as it should have.
I couldn't figure out why.
I checked the Staff Properties (F2) again, checked the Play back [abbr=I wish there were a real underline...]d[/abbr]evice: on the Midi tab, and one was A: and one was B:  (I assume these are two different ports...)
Now I have 30 tracks, not counting percussion.
Cool.
