Notebeam not working 2005-03-07 08:11 pm Hi there.I'm a registered user of Noteworthy for some months and last February I bought the program. I have been using the program without problems untill this morning, last Friday, that the “Beam note command” stopped working. I usually use the key combination Ctrl + B to apply the beaming after having selected the relevant notes but this morning the command did not work and I noticed that the toolbar button did not get avtive when I selected the notes. Since then I have not been able to use this command. I have tried to uninnstall and reinnstall the program without success. This comes at a very inconviniant time (as usually when something geos wrong J) since I’m writing up an operapart that I’m practising. Would you please respond on this matter as soon as possible so I’m able to go on using your, othervise, excellent program.Best regards.Olafur Valgeirsson Quote Selected
Re: Notebeam not working Reply #1 – 2005-03-08 01:57 am Unless either your keyboard has developed a fault, or you installed software that is intercepting the Ctrl+B keys, there is no reason for the Beam command to stop working. Make sure you have selected a valid group of notes for a beam. You can also select Edit, Beam directly to achieve the same result as Ctrl+B. Quote Selected
Re: Notebeam not working Reply #2 – 2005-03-08 07:25 am ...and you can try automatic beaming. It's pretty reliable as long as your time signature gives you the right groupings. By this I mean, Common Time will beam 8th notes in groups of 2 but Cut Time will do them in groups of 4.If your piece is in common time but you want beams in groups of 4, just insert a hidden alla breve time signature after your visible common time one.
