Notes un-joined by teXt

I always notate all chords on my music, but notice that if the chord text falls between two notes that in normal music
are joined together, (eg two eigth notes) then noteworthy 'un-joins' them, and the bar symbol is grayed out if I select them afterwards.

What am I missing here?

Unfortunately, that is how it works. I consider it a bug.
Add your voice to the wish list.
To work around it, you have to insert all your notation
before the first beamed note, and separate the notation
with spaces. Check Print Preview because it is different
than how it looks on the screen. I find that even Print
Preview does not quite match what actually appears on the printout.

Although I'm a work hardened Noteworthy fan, I'm astonished
that a 'music notation' program does not permit normal music
notation and chord notation at the same time!
Am I placing unrealistic expectations on a $40 shareware product?

You could also try adding the chords as text above the staff.
If you can bear entering all the _'s at non-chorded notes.

I too have great expectations of an underpriced package - but strangely this software continues to deliver surprises.
I dont think it hurts to add requests to the wish list - who knows - it could happen!

For $US40 I have a program that allows me to publish my scores; and have conductors/orchestra members comment on how good the parts look.
(I copy individual pages and paste the metafile file into Publisher.)

Works great!
