classical song

I'm sure with all these musically experienced people around, this should be a cinch..
There's a classical song that was used in an old Disney cartoon, and has been referenced in several movies, but I can't remember for the life of me what it's called or by whom it was composed.
It's a waltz, and the notes are as follows:
EFGF#GF#GF#G
AEF
GDE
CDED#ED#ED#E
DCCBB
DCAG
that's an awfully convoluted way of writing it out, and for that I apologize, but I've had this song in my head forever without knowing what it is.
any help would be appreciated.

This is the tune that Harold Hill gets all the kids to "think" in "Music Man" - "La di da di da di da di da. La di da, La di da". He refers to it as "The minuet in G". I think it's Mozart, but no doubt someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

Close.  It's Beethoven.

Ah well! That's what comes of doing lots of musicals and not having a musical education!
