Cut from one composition and paste to another

I am new to NoteWorthy, but being used to the way that Windows usually works, there is a global paste buffer. For example one can cut from Word and past to Notebook or, more importantly, to another Word document.

I want to be able to cut from an open Noteworthy file and then open another and paste into it.

Is there a way?

Also new to NWC, but, yes, it's straightforward: highlight, go to Edit > Copy or hit CTRL + C, open a second score, position the cursor and paste.

You can also use "Copy Special" and put the highlighted material on the (universal) Windows paste buffer. Word gives you a choice of metafile or picture... picture works better, mainly because Word handles metafiles pretty strangely.

Even ordinary cut and paste works fine within NWC.  Just highlight the passage, hit Ctrl-X, move the the new song file, find your insertion point and hit Ctrl-V.

Use the other standard Windows methods for cutting and pasting if you prefer.

Is there a way to select a portion of the composition
( _all_ staves from measure {start} thru {end},
such as the second verse of a song)
and copy them to a new NWC window
in the same session?
[Probably not -- this would be a feature request.]

Is there even a way to select a range of measures
in all parts, and delete them ?

No to both questions, unfortunately.  Sounds like an idea you should post to the wish list.

If it were possible, you'd want to make sure you made a choice regarding just the visible staffs or all the staffs including the hidden ones.
