Can viewer play single part ? 2004-11-26 04:31 am Is it possible with the VIEWER (either from version 1 or the under development version 2) to select and playback a single part from a 4part SATB score? It would be very usefull for a composed 4 part piece to be listened to by choir members with just the viewer programs to playback there own part ,(in addition to the combined parts. Re: Can viewer play single part ? Reply #1 – 2004-11-26 03:24 pm I accomplish the same end by creating an AUDIO cd with separate tracks for: 1) all parts; and 2) a track containing ONLY the subject part(s) plus rhythm (to help the person who is learning the part keep up with his/her place).Note that the one CD contains a track with all parts, and SEPARATE tracks for each individual part. I put all the separate parts on the one CD to minimize the number of CD's to keep up with. There are a number of advantages to creating an audio cd for such purposes. The main such advantage, IMHO, is providing a much-expanded opportunity for the learner to practice, i.e., anywhere there is a few spare moments and a CD player (in a vehicle, etc.) If one is required to be present in front of a computer then this minimizes the opportunity to practice.I've been buying CD-R's for about 22 cents each, which is quite a small price to pay for such a tremendous tool.Numerous posts on this forum address the creation of audio cd's and I'll not repeat these. Do a search. Quote Selected
