which keyboard

I have just begun keyboard lessons and intend to change my very basic Casio for one which (among other things) I can connect to the computer. I have in mind a Yamaha PSR 450 or similar but I do not fully appreciate the difference between the PSR range and the DGX models.
Previous forum messages on this topic are a bit dated and I would appreciate any comments/suggestions
