HELP 2004-10-02 06:54 pm Hey, thanks for taking time to read this. I am trying to play multiple instruments at the same time in the same Cleft but it only plays one type of instrument. It's REALLY annoying. If you can help me that would be great. Thanks! Quote Selected
Re: HELP Reply #1 – 2004-10-02 08:26 pm The instrument setting applies to everything in the one staff. If you have a part for a player who doubles, and you need to change instruments midway through the piece, insert an instrument change at the place you want to switch. Use Insert/Instrument Change. Insert a new key signature if they are transposing instruments in different keys.If you want two voices on one staff, as perhaps with a duet of two different instruments, write them on two staffs, set each for the instrument you want, and then layer the staffs. Set the properties for the top staff by pressing F2/Layer with Next Staff, and then go to View/Allow Layering. Suggest you make the note stem direction on the upper voice staff "upward" and on the other staff, "downward."You probably will want to use different midi channels for each track too. Channel 10 is reserved for drums. Quote Selected
