Another change in Viewer behavior?

Previously, if I used the tool-bar icon to start NWC (1 or 2) from the new Viewer, the Viewer would relinquish its hold on the MIDI device, but would stay loaded.  Thus, if I started work by opening a file in the Viewer I could move to NWC, add to or modify the score, save it and by closing NWC return to the Viewer.  There I could "click" the "Open file" icon and "Open" to refresh with the just-saved file, and check it out for errors in the formating (from the point of view of the Viewer).

With the latest version, however, the Viewer seems to close itself when opening NWC.  Is this a deliberate change?  If so, what is the rational, if not, could the previous behavior be restored?  (Actually, I would very much like the previous behavior to be restored in any case.)

Thanks,

Cyril

Please review Tools, Options in the Viewer.

It would be nice if you could go the other way too. That is switch from NWC2 to the viewer.

And there's a bug in the help menu. Clicking on help ... puts you into the NWC home page!

The next NWC2 includes a rudimentary viewer control, built into it (for previewing the look).

The help link is intentional, for the moment.
