What's a good way to add a vibration sound to an instrument?

Add Modulation or Channel Aftertouch (may not work on some soundcards).
If you use soundfonts - the soundfont can be edited to increase the vibrato.

Could you explain it better? I don't understand what you mean. I've never heard of "Aftertouch"
