accidentals problem 2004-08-17 11:52 am when you put middle C# and put another note C (the oneabove it) with no accidental sign, the note is stillsharped (even with a clef change)"accidentals apply to all octaves(even with clef changes)" so if I add the accidentalsign manually and used audit barlines/eharmonicspelling, the sign is removed" I would like this fixed Quote Selected
Re: accidentals problem Reply #1 – 2004-08-18 08:16 am You're right, this is one little flaw in NWC. Accidentals should only affect the note before which they are placed, not the same note on another octave. You can get around this by inserting a natural sign, and at least by my experience, Audit Enharmonic Spelling doesn't remove the natural accidental. Re: accidentals problem Reply #3 – 2004-08-19 02:20 pm You can at least fix up the problem quicker by using the new "Find" command. After you've done all your auditing of accidentals, press ctrl+F and select "by category/unassigned octave accidental". It'll find them all quickly and you can add accidentals as needed. Pressing F3 will repeat the previous "find". Quote Selected
