MIDI file imports to NWC 1998-03-26 05:00 am I just transfered 35 files from my old music program to NWC with very good results. The only exception I found was in transfering Triplets. I played the .MID file(with Triplets) and it plays OK. When IMPORTED to NWC it transcribes as 1/16 1/8 1/16 all bared together. Any one else with this experence? How come? Quote Selected
Re: MIDI file imports to NWC Reply #1 – 1998-03-26 05:00 am MIDI import in NWC does not support (recognize) triplets. This is just how it works at the moment. Quote Selected
Re: MIDI file imports to NWC Reply #2 – 1998-03-26 05:00 am Don,I created a macro file (using Win 3.1's Recorder.exe, which ain't available on NT or 95 - or 98) which "tripletises" groups of notes with the right behaviour.Either grab it from http://www.pcug.org.au/~apurdam/(navigating down "music" and "composing") or go straight to http://www.pcug.org.au/~apurdam/noteworthy.htmlORif it's not too big (and you don't trust the contents of the macro file), send me the midi file and I'll convert it for you.Andrew Quote Selected
Re: MIDI file imports to NWC Reply #3 – 1998-03-27 05:00 am NWC Support: Thanks for the heads up.Andrew: Thanks for the offer, I am on Win 95. The edit of files with triplets will not be a big effort, thanks to the workings of NWC; and they are easy to spot. Thanks again.Don Quote Selected
