articulations, emphasis

I have noticed, and many times used, the articulation "^" available/defined in the noteworthy font.
When you're writing for big band (jazz) or concert band these are really important for strong short emphasis of notes. I'm aware of the fact that you could get a reasonable good impression by combining accent ">" with staccato "." but the notation doesn't feel right and I'm tired of hiding these articulations and manually add the emphasis "^" in my score. So a new articulation would be nice utilising the already (in the font) availabe "^".

Absolutely.

But in fact the whole family of accents (>, ^, ¯, •) and literal accents (sf, fz, sfz) need to be implemented properly, together with a combined tenuto/staccato.

And the literals need to be embedded in the native font, in the same way as dynamics are.
