Lyric on Midi File but nowhere on NoteWorthy

I have midi and karaoke files with lyric and sometimes I do not find that lyric line when opening file with NoteWorthy.  Is this possible???

Thank you

See faq #88.

I haven't had a problem importing *.kar. The lyrics appear on their own line - not attached to the melody staff. The lyrics line is in a different color, and perhaps it appears further down, where you didn't notice it (scroll down).

You can use the NWC lyrics editor to copy from the special karaoke staff, to the actual melody staff. But be aware that the karaoke lyics are not necessarily separated into syllables the way that is needed for the melody. You will have to do that yourself. Also, karaoke often has other items such as the equal sign, or repeated dots, that need to be removed or changed. Keep in mind that karaoke is visually presented on a screen for the singer. There is no need for separate syllables, and the words do not always appear in synchronization with the sung note.

If you don't see any lyrics at all, not even on a special staff, then that's a different issue. But I haven't encountered it.

In case you still have the problem: which old version of NWC do you use?
Otherwise, I suppose you got your answer. Please let us know ;)
