no sound on new DAW

*) Win XP Professional
*) on board "cheap" sound card plus...
*) Aardvark Pro Audio Direct Pro 24/96
*) SONAR 2 software

...moved my copy of NWC to this new DAW; can switch SONAR output back and forth from "good" soundcard to "cheap" soundcard, but can't get _anything_ out of NWC no matter the settings in NWC and/or Control Panel; any ideas?

If you moved your NWC MIDI settings along with NWC, you need to start over. Goto Tools | Options | MIDI and clear any devices listed for use in play back. Now, select one and only one device to use for play back and test it with one of the samples. Repeat this procedure until you find a MIDI device that works.
