Boxmarks text expressions

Can anyone give me some kind of formula or equation to determine the right text size or placement of expression to use when placing Boxmarks-generated glissandi in printed scores. No matter what size text I choose or permutation of text expression adjustments, I always seem to end up either with gliss marks that extend way beyond the "target" note or with a disembodied glissando mark floating nebulously between the 2 notes it is supposed to link, and usually pointing only vary vaguely in the direction of the target note. The nearest I seem to be able to get it is by placing the mark before the first note with several points of space before the mark, but I still seem to get a huge space before the "destination" note.

Understand that Boxmarks was written as an effort to overcome the lack of notation marks in NWC.
It is simply fixed text.
Positioning and placement needs will vary with the interval spanned and the note durations.
Each case is individual and I can't provide much help - it's really up to you.
This will always be a problem until NWC develops a system where marks are related spatially to the notes.

Sorry I can't be more help.

I find that generally it is best to put the hairpin at the target note with right justification. I also choose a relatively small font size so that the lines are not too thick.
