pagination

How can you manipualte a score so that it paginates the way you want? Currently, I'm working with a downloaded score that has a page break in the middle of a bar. :-(

a downloaded score that has a page break in the middle of a bar.

This must be the author's intent since Noteworthy only places a system break at a bar line. To remove this, look for a hidden bar line in that measure and remove it. You can also look for other forced system breaks in barlines and remove them by selecting them, pressing ALT+ENTER and unchecking "Force system breaks," or check that option to force NoteWorthy to end the line there. Other things you can do to tweak to pagination are adding "space above staff" or "space below staff" by pressing ALT+ENTER for the active staff. If you are still unsatisfied, try changing there size of the staves trough the page setup command and also the margins. If you want to put less staves on just the first page, it may be helpful to have NWC to print the title information and then make an outragously large title font -- all done in to page setup dialogue box. The title does not actually have to be that large - you can insert a text object on the first staff that is roughly centered and can be any font you choose.

You cannot control pagination. NWC basically starts a new page whenever it is necessary. As Francis points out, you can control system breaks, and this can help to manipulate where your page breaks end up.
