Help...

Hello to all. I am user of the NWC 1.75

Please, I have some to ask:

1--- How I should proceed in order to fix the type of note that I want to enter notes from the Midi keyboard.

ALWAYS the NWC puts the note (Corcheas with double point)

2--- When I utilize enter notes from the MIDI keyboard, in the menu of notes a light of selection appears, on the type of note to enter. That light jumps (it goes and it comes) of a note to the one which is at par. The admission of the note touched in the keyboard makes him well. What do you suppose that do it be passing?

NOTE: with the version 1.70 didn't occur anything of this

Thank you for everything.

Jubal,

I tend to be a dense Swede and had some trouble understanding what you were describing.

I wonder if there might be a NWC user who is fluent in your language. Perhaps you might note your Native tongue and someone could seek clarification of the issue and provide some assistance.

Quick supplement:

As to question 1, I wonder if the "persistent note tool" might be on? To turn off, go to the menu bar, select Tools, and click off the Persistent Note Tool.

Jubal,
it seems that your first question may be linked to two things:
a. do you use "step entry" or "real-time" mode? When you installed NWC 1.75, this option value may have changed.
b. in "real time" mode, the lengths of notes are depending on the "resolution" you set in menu Tools/Options, Import tab: Note Resolution and Rest Resolution. The values there indicate the precision you want. To my eyes, it seems that you set too precise values, since the double-dotted "corcheas" (quaver/8th) should probably be quarters. Try to set resolutions to larger values (higher in the lists) to match your way of playing keyboard.

Your second question seems to indicate that you're using "step entry", am I wrong? In that case, the note length depends on the icon selected, not on how long you play it on your keyboard.

Any user which better knows the "record" option may be welcome, I'm sure! I've not used this since months.

Hope this helps, though!
