Help!

Hi! I've got a music composition assignment due quite soon but I'm having trouble understanding what the lecturer wants. He said to use any MIDI Sequencer for this composition. Is NWC a MIDI Sequencer?
He also said to use at least 2 different General MIDI. I was fiddling with the Instrument Patch, trying to get at least 3 types of instruments to play at the same time but all I hear is just the piano. How do I fix this problem? Please help!

NWC is not a MIDI sequencer in the classic sense of the term. Sequencers generally allow you to create and edit MIDI events directly in order to create a sequence. NWC allows you to use notation to create a MIDI event sequence. It does not, however, provide a way for you to edit the MIDI event sequence after it is in MIDI form.

It can be used to create MIDI files using notation. Whether or not its appropriate for your assignment depends on exactly what you have to do to complete the assignment.
