recording sound from Media Player

I would like to record the sound played (stream) by Media Player. Could anybody help with a suggestion?

I dunno about ALL types of Media Player output, but Windows media player will make you a nice .wma file from a CD track by hitting the CD Audio button on the left side of the fully open player and then the Copy Music button at the top. Hope that helps a bit.

Hi Shadow, and TK for your advice. It does work...
i actually wanted to record the sound played on Media Player from a radio station for example. i would appreciate your thought on this.

If you have a full duplex soundcard, you can select the recording source as wave, open your favourite sound recorder along with win mp and record while playing.

That's what I do and it works. If your device allows, record in 48 kHz.

hi all,
is there anyway to record the visualisations that the media player gives out whilst playing a song.?

i have tried but all that i record is a blank screen.?

any help would be great.
