version 2!

Is there any talk of a verion 2 of NWC coming out in the near future? or in the future at all?

One which will include the features of Finale but maintain the unbeatable NWC's ease-of-use?

The topic arises from time to time. I don't speak for Noteworthy Software, but their policy has always been NOT to make advance announcements. Many other users agree with this.

Keep in mind that NWC is an affordable, easy-to-use, relatively small (byte size) program. The more features are added, the more it has the potential to become just like those other brand X programs. Many users, including myself, own or have access to one of the fancier programs on those rare occasions when we need it.

That said, there are a number of features that would (I believe) enhance the value of NWC without radically changing the nature of the program. This has also been discussed on many forum threads, and doubtless in the wish list. Among the more popular requests are N-tuplets (other than existing triplets), re-positionable slurs, and alternative notation fonts.

One other thing: I suspect that many NWC users are not taking full advantage of the program's capability to export placeable Windows metafiles (WMFs) from Print Preview. These can be placed into a word processing document. There, they can be cropped and re-sized. (Cropping can be used to eliminate excess staves or white space where you don't want them.) Pictures and text can be added. Or, a WMF (which is a vector drawing object) can be converted to a bitmap graphic image for display on a web page, using a free application such as Irfan View.

MS Word, and presumably other word processors, allow an imported WMF to float, so that it will superimpose with text or other items. Floating text boxes can also be created (be sure to use a transparent background for those, not a white background).

I'm not good at español, but here is what I understand Luis wrote (in my poor english) :
''I do not know any english, only español; I'd like that this program would be in español for we all could enjoy this excellent software! ''

"Traduttore traditore" italian proverb says, I hope my translation is good enough though :) Punctuation is mine!
