Lyric Lines

I'm having trouble getting enough lyric lines of a certain font size to fit beneath a stave.

To make the singing (and playing) of Psalms easier at my church I normally copy out the chant and then put in the verses below in the usual way. Provided that the psalm does not have too many verses this is Ok. But the one for this Sunday has 15 verses, and I have managed to get around this by having two identical staves, layered, with 8 verses on one and 7 verses on the other. I then set up the spacing below the stave containing the last 7 verses to it's maximum (60 places). Unfortunately I can only then use a font size of 8 points which is a bit small for our congregation. If I use a larger font the first 8 verses expand upwards and collide with the stave and the last 7 verses do the same thing and collide with the first set of verses!

Can anybody think of a workaround for this one?

When I've had similar circumstances I have just doubled the length of the music - putting two verses of text on each line

You are limited to 60 positions below the staff. There is no way to get around this that I can think of at the moment.

If you have another staff below this one, you could add a third hidden staff layered with the lower staff, copy all the notes from the top staff, hide them all, then add some lyric lines aligned with the top of this staff. This obviously only works if you have the staff below. You will also have to do some work to make sure everything is invisible on this staff, since it will clash with the real staff at this position.

IF LYRICS HAD A SPARATE COLOR MENU, You could make one of your optional colors black and the another one white. Make a staff under the staff with the verses under it. Change the staff color to white. Make the lyrics and choose black as your color for them. Move them (and the staff) accordingly. But Lyrics can only be the color of the staff so this can't happen....
