sb live 1024 2001-01-09 05:00 am I have just installed a SB live 1024. When I first installed it, I could play NWC files no problem (I started off with the Hallelujah chorus!). However, I now find I can't get any sound from NWC files.I have reinstalled the program, everything works fine, the environmental audio, the live experience, the diagnostics. Midis play fine through audio hq and windows media player, but not noteworthy.I have tried all combinations of devices, and set the options to "always" and "while playing".Help! Quote Selected
Re: sb live 1024 Reply #1 – 2001-01-09 05:00 am Have you tried this:First of all, have a check on Start/Settings/Control Panel/Multimedia/MIDI.The "single device" should be set to A: SB Live! MIDI Synth. Then open NWC and;Tools/Options/MIDI; "Devices used by playback" should be in the following order:1) MIDI Mapper2) B: SB Live! MIDI Synth3) Creative S/W Synth[The SB Live! MIDI Out (C400) is used for external devices so it's not to be included in this list.]Hth,Ertugrul Quote Selected
Re: sb live 1024 Reply #2 – 2001-01-09 05:00 am Here are some links to help:https://forum.noteworthycomposer.com/?topic=1533.msg8009#msg8009: This is a different problem, but the solution is appropriate. If you can get play back to work from Media Player, then you can get play back in NWC by selecting the MIDI mapper device.https://forum.noteworthycomposer.com/?topic=777.msg3673#msg3673: If you have previously used more than one play device, this reply gives you something to think about. Your staff properties may also have the wrong device (or no device) selected.https://forum.noteworthycomposer.com/?topic=1419.msg7468#msg7468: If you cannot get MIDI play back to work at all, this is good advice.See also: https://noteworthycomposer.com/composer/faq3.htm#playback Quote Selected
