thanx in advance!

Hi Ben,

What you need to do is to choose the right MIDI output option.

Go to the Tools menu, and pick Options. Now click on the MIDI tab (if it isn't visible, you may need to use the arrows next to the tabs to scroll the tabs).

You will see a window on the left showing available payback devices, and one on the right showing devices used. The available devices will depend on your system setup, but the one you want will probably be called "MIDI Out", or "MPU-401 Out". If you can't see anything like that, you haven't set up your MIDI ports properly yet, so toddle along to the Windows Control Panel, or your sound card manual. You should also remove the sound card device from the used devices list.

BTW, my keyboard is so old that it isn't even General MIDI compatible, so my sound card is the much better option.

hi!

when I choose MPU-401 as the output device, as im inputing notes, I now just hear the notes being played through my keyboard and not through the PC speakers, where as before I heard the sound coming through the keyboard and PC speakers. now when I press 'play' in noteworthy, i get no sound!! so I change my playback device back to Midi Mapper, and it plays, but still with the crappy sounds!! help me, someone! i need decent sounds!!

thanx! :-)
