I write for our Men's Quartet occasionally, when we change a tune significantly from the way it was written. I use a standard piano staff at times, and sometimes, if the song gets like the old time "convention" style songs, (Like the Happy Goodmans, or the Statesmen) I use staff layering. The new features of rest placement and note placement are used as well as the system break.If you need more info, or anything else, email me.Also, there is a site on the web for shape notes, but I can't recall where...
