Connecting Stems 2002-10-06 11:09 pm Though I must admit this program is the ideal for the composer, I have but one question to ask. Whenever I put two eighth notes, it notates it as two different notes rather than connecting the stem which is very much needed for me. Re: Connecting Stems Reply #1 – 2002-10-07 01:12 am Select (highlight) the notes you want beamed, either by dragging with the mouse or by pressing SHIFT and the right-left cursor keys, then press CNTL "b" or click the toolbar button that shows the two 1/8 notes beamed with a red line.You can also use the "Automatic Beam" function, by pressing ALT, t, a or by clicking Tools | Automatic Beam.
