BAK trouble

I’ve lost a score but have a BAK file that I can’t open. Suggestions?

Copy the .bak file to a .nwc file?

Or navigate to the .bak file, <Right+Click> and choose "open with" and select NWC
I plays 'Bones, crumpets, coronets, floosgals, youfonymums 'n tubies.

I am getting an error message that NWC does not recognize the file type BAK. 😔

Curious, mine works fine... (I'm using the 2.8 beta 1 version)
Anyhow, the full filename is of the form Songname.nwc.bak - just remove the .bak part.

If the file name ends with .nwc.bak, then NWC can open it. If it ends only with .bak, then NWC refuses to open it. Solution: You have to either rename it to ....nwc or to ....nwc.bak, then you can open it.
