Dotted ties

I am sure that I have read about this (possibly even asked) before, but I have been through the forums and can't find a reference.  :-[
I want to have a dotted tie connecting 2 quavers for lyric purposes in 2 verses. Is there a way?
Thanks in advance - and a happier new year.
Paul

Try these user objects:
Slur.ms

and SlurCubic.ms

The difference between the two is curve shape and control of same.

While intended as slurs, at a pinch these could be used as ties, and they both have a "dot" line type.  NOTE that you will have to allow for the fact they do not affect lyric placement so an underscore <_> will be needed in in the lyrics in conjunction with them to make syllable alignment work correctly.
I plays 'Bones, crumpets, coronets, floosgals, youfonymums 'n tubies.
