Title: Is there a user font with the "wedge" (staccatissimo)
Post by: Warren Porter on 2007-10-24 11:21 PM
Is there a facility for inserting the "wedge" stacatto symbol?  I am trying to transcribe a concerto by Haydn and found this symbol was used frequently.  The last discussion I found on this was here (https://forum.noteworthycomposer.com/?topic=2137.0).

TIA

G'day Warren,
so long as you don't need it to affect playback ;)

All the title fonts in the suites I created have both up and down staccatissimo symbols.

E.G select "SwingDings" as a user font at the same size as the staff metric and insert text (Centred at next note/bar):

No quotes, of course.

I highly recommend Typecase (http://www.buckrogers.demon.co.uk/software/software.htm) to you as a character map tool.

THe *Dings suites are available via the Scripto (http://nwc-scriptorium.org/helpful.html#Fonts)
