Hello, I'm also a choir member and have a composer version. All de other choir members have a viewer. If a song is ready, I make four (sometimes five) versions of that - one for each voice-group - with additional de voice-groep abbreviation in the name. F.e. song-alt.nwc / song-bas.nwc / song-ten.nwc / song-sop.nwc. Before now I used to put a 'pianissimo' in front of al the other staff's than de one for de voice-group. But thanks to Richard I know that I can lower the volume in the staffproperties. Thanx.
I'm also distributer of nwc-files for our choir-members. I make from every nwc file a copy for so much times there are staves (SATB). Example: In te copy S I put a pp at the very beginning of the staves ATB. So the sopran can practice at home her own party and can also hear the other parties. Ditstribution of de nwc-files goes by e-mail. Every member of our choir has a [free] noteworthy viewer at home. When the file is more than 100 measures I cut it into two (or more) parts and send them separately.
greatings and succes, Christiaan Boer Popkoor 4Ever Young Dalfsen NL
I support the request of an (little more) advanced player voor our choir members. The specs are clear now. Despite of all the good workarrounds is't easier to distribute NCW-files instead of MIDI with PDF's.
I surely hope Noteworthy takes this forum serious and mark the request as an RFC in their programming-cycle.
Hello, I'm Christiaan Boer and type all the partiture for our popchoir 4Ever Young in Dalfsen (Netherlands). E'vry time I must type the oe's and ooh's at each note. I've seen before with other partitures that there is a long line over so many measures as is needed. Is that possible too with noteworthy?
