That's brilliant thanks! I had been on the right lines but had changed the active staff colour not the active background!

I don't know if this has been mentioned by anyone else (I have tried but can't find it anywhere). I have just applied the upgrade to 2.1 and now have a new form of the active staff frame, I always remove it but can't find anywhere where I can remove it. It used to be in the tools/options/editor. Please can someone help I would be very grateful.
